![]() ![]() I know that the timeframe of the manga was small, it maybe lasted a few days at most, but there was still room for more well thought out relationships between the girls. It’s fine for them to like each other from the beginning, not every friend group needs internal conflict, but it’s hard to believe that after knowing each other for less than an hour they decide they’ll be best friends forever and will die for each other. Considering the series was so short, I didn’t mind the fast action my problem was in the unrealistically quick progression of friendship between the main characters. The first issue with Rayearth’s writing that I immediately noticed concerned the pacing. I do plan to buy the volumes for myself, so I may replace the images later. Scan credit to whoever provided the scans on MangaPark, they weren’t sourced. Overall, I’m pretty impressed, but I think I ought to start with my complaints so that we can end this post on a positive note. ![]() Either way, I have a lot of thoughts so far, so I’ll make a second post after I read the last three volumes (which I absolutely intend to do). I just finished up the first three volumes of Magic Knight Rayearth technically, the next three volumes are a sequel, but from what I can tell, the plot seems relatively linear.
